About the Program
Y Combinator is one of the world's leading startup accelerators, funding and supporting early-stage startups across all industries. YC invests $500,000 in every accepted startup and provides mentorship, founder support, access to a global network of investors and alumni, and a 3-month accelerator program that culminates in Demo Day. Notable YC-backed companies include Airbnb, Stripe, Dropbox, and Reddit. YC accepts startups from anywhere in the world and invests at the idea, MVP, pre-seed, and seed stages.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to startups from any country and any industry. Founders can apply with just an idea, MVP, or an existing business. Strong preference for ambitious founders solving large, important problems. Startup should have the potential to become a venture-scale company. Technical founders and founder-market fit are viewed favorably. Early traction, revenue, users, or product validation can strengthen an application but are not mandatory. Solo founders can apply, though strong founding teams are often preferred. Founders must be willing to participate in the YC program if accepted. Applications are accepted from both for-profit and selected nonprofit organizations.
