About the Program
Government-backed defence innovation program under the iDEX (Innovations for Defence Excellence) initiative. Supports startups, innovators, and MSMEs developing technologies for defence and aerospace applications. Opportunity to directly engage with the Indian Armed Forces and defence organizations. Focus areas include AI, autonomous systems, aerospace, robotics, quantum technologies, cybersecurity, drones, and other advanced technologies. Selected participants receive funding support, mentorship, incubation, testing opportunities, and access to defence stakeholders. Helps innovators convert ideas and prototypes into deployable defence solutions. Aims to strengthen India's defence capabilities through indigenous innovation and technology development.
Eligibility Criteria
Indian startups recognized by the Government of India can apply. Individual innovators with innovative defence or aerospace solutions are eligible. MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) can participate. Applicants must have an idea, prototype, technology, or product relevant to defence or aerospace. Solutions should address defence challenges or have potential military applications. Participants must submit proposals through the official iDEX portal. Both early-stage and growth-stage innovators can apply if their solution demonstrates feasibility and innovation.
